Release and Maintenance Schedule for Mozenda Web Scraping Software
March 28, 2017
It’s the sort of thing that everyone says, but we’ll put it out there anyway: we’re always looking for ways to improve our software.
We’re also interested in enhancing our update process, and more effectively announcing the nature of those changes to our users.
To that end, we’d like to share with you how our update process works:
- Bug fixes and patches. Every Tuesday, minor updates are rolled out to address bugs reported to or found by us. These changes won’t lead to downtime.
- New features and enhancements. Changes that add new functionality are performed on the first Friday of every month, and also will not lead to downtime.
- Downtime. Any infrastructure maintenance or software changes that are expected to interrupt our services will be performed on the first Friday of every quarter starting at 10:00 p.m. EDT (UTC-04:00) and ending at midnight. If you’d like to be notified of these changes before and while they occur, please visit our Status.io page and subscribe for updates using the button in the top-right corner.
Feature News
As part of introducing this new schedule for releases, we will also be sharing information about upcoming features, enhancements, and changes.
One to two weeks before a feature release, we will send out our monthly newsletter that includes a high-level summary article about the expected changes. This will also include information about registering for a webinar to explain the new features and have a Q&A.
Following a feature release, articles with additional details and links to documentation will be first posted to the Mozenda blog (also viewable on the main page of the Web Console) and then included in another monthly email the following Tuesday.
